Why are my numbers displayed differently?

Answer

As you can see we have made a change to the way Pets numbers are displayed!

Don't worry--your numbers haven't been altered, only shortened so that we can keep up with the astronomically high values that you guys, players, have reached!

Hover your mouse over any number with the 'M', 'T' or 'Q' notation to see the entire number.

The whole number appears when your mouse is over the number that you wish to see.

To help you put the numbers in perspective more quickly, we have a few pointers for you: 

If you want to see a player's approximate Value, Cash or Assets in long-hand notation, simply add the corresponding number of zeros (0) based on the short-hand notation that appears.

If a number appears with a 'M' (millions) notation, add six zeros to see the longer number. 

$433,243 M is approximately $433,243,000,000

If a number appears with a 'T' (trillions) notation, add 12 zeros to the number. 

$46,442,239 T is approximately $46,442,239,000,000,000,000

When a player's Value, Cash or Assets reaches the quintillions (Q), the number is displayed with the 'Q' notation. Add 18 zeros to this number in order to see the approximate long-hand form of the number.

Please post any questions you have about this change below! 

We understand that seeing the numbers differently may add a second or two to your thinking in the days following this change. If you do not wish to play Pets using the short-hand numbers, change your version to 1.0 by clicking 'Change' in your Settings module.

We highly recommend that you continue using 2.0 to prevent your numbers from growing off of the page.

Please don't try to change numbers with letter. Numbers always must to be numbers, and latter always latter.

sure we can make mistakes durring the run..thinking it is a begining of a run..and if we dont know this change we can stuck on a huge run.just a few minuts ago i stucked with almost 8qd,thinking it is  8 trilions and i clicked.what a pity it was 8 qds

please don't change the nunber ..coz its easy the number..than letters..used to be i dont care pets player ..but now i love it very  nuch..i have so much fun for this games.. thanks for the tagged member so much this pets games the most fun games...

The new format is ridiculous Tagged! A simpler solution would have been to just utilize the blank area on the left side of the screen by moving the photo and money display to the left. And it's not to late to do that!

I think this is not the solution should look for other alternatives, but without altering the actual numbers, this will create confusion when buying and more than one player will be caught, I use version 2.0 because it updates my money at the time and I can go on high skills without updating my page, but with this modification, we are confused, thanks

it we have to see each and every play cash by mouse then it will take long time and we miss the run or buy wrong pet by mistake

this will make us confuse every time so i thing numbers are not required or player will make mistake or cheater will make fool to players

Tagged, please stop the nonsense.  First there is the ridiculous "inflation" in Pets cash, and now you respond to a problem YOU created by implementing a potentially bigger problem.  Just let the numbers all be right-justified and lined up so the values can be easily recognized, and stop the nonsense with the letters.  Don't your IT people know how to lay out a format that is straightforward and understandable?

Hello all you posters, yes I agree, but you can change your settings back, I have just done it, under your pets is a settings, just change it back to 1.0 instead of 2.0

this is not nice......we like the big numbers tagged.

please change it back.....now i not like a good pet with pet play.

I don't like and don't understand ... if you want change for letters use the letters os the number ... Ex:

7, 432, Qua  = 7,423,567,287,866,776,

7,432, Qui =  7,423,567,287,866,776,654

 etc ...

But, better stay with was !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no letters !!!

I do not like this...Its saying I have only millions, Not the 15 quad million..play cash i really have...its saying my Value is only 14 million ..I want it back or I quit playing....I have a proifle that I busted my Butt on , and I do not buy or trade my value fis this mess or tons of us will leave, there is plenty of room for the cash to show.Noy ]=t to even speak of the gold I have bought..no good fix my cash Tagged...its not showing quintrillons its only showing millions

People are always scared of change in the beginning... we are creatures of habit... you will get used to it.. anyway as they say if you "mouse" over it you can still see the full number...

Please don't try to change numbers with letter. Numbers always must to be numbers. I advice using abbreviation for words like as V for value, C for cash and A for Assets. It is possible to give explaination for that the amause is over.

Suggestions:

Why not shorten the longer numbers? Keep the smaller numbers the way they were but when they get too large just code those with the "m" and embolden them so that we know they are shortened.

Also....try color coding the number denominations, for example make the numbers representing the billions blue, the trillions green, the quads purple etc. that way even they are shortend it would be less confusing.

Tagged, Tagged, when will you learn, if it is not broken, don't fix it, besides your characters are incorrect anyway...what happened to Billion after Million...stop the letters and let us figure the numbers. I think we all have mastered math, not the alpha numeric characterization. Maybe your IT people can correct it for the few that have the numbers running off the page, I am still looking for one of them...guess another episode of fix it for the 5% and let the 95% have the issue. Its just like the favorites tab on 1.0, anything good you delete. Go back to the numbers and give us the favorites tab again.

co'mon guyyyyys....... really?  we're earning you lots of money with this game, and your response is to make $ 1,000,000,000    look like $1,000,000  just to confuse us more than some of them already are??  pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease tell me you are'nt just trying to make more space for advertising !!!

i already lost some cash because of this....... if we can not see full value, is so difficult to play that no more funn, not interesting any more... we must think about colours and letters to not lose our cash and the game becomes something aggravating.. im sure many people will stop playing after some bigger mistakes after this change..

I'm trying to have a open mind here, but when these numbers are changed, I lose enthusiasm for the game.(Honest)  Letters just don't cut it.  I have been playing for almost a year, and looking at my big Q trillion numbers was a good feeling.  These number as you say are the same, but it's not like looking at your large numbers and sitting back and saying, wow check that out.

Sorry, but I have to be honest..I would think there should be a way to rework the site to fit the larger numbers, if you have to go off line for a week, just do it.

The last thing I wanted to mention is, I was already to buy another $200.00 worth of gold, and now I'm holding back.  I am sure you will get a lot of negative feedback from this move.  I would think Tagged makes a lot of money on the  gold, and when players stop buying gold, tagged will have to make a choice.

Dear Tagged - The "problem" was created by YOU!  It happened when you engaged in the ridiculous, "Argentina-on-steroids," hyper-inflation of pet values, brought on by the insane exchange rate.  Heck, it makes Obama look like a curmudgeon!    Why not drop the exchange rate back to 10,000-1, and reduce ALL pet values to 1% of their current value?  This would drop everyone's value/assets proportionately, so everyone would stay the same relative to others, and we wouldn't have to worry about unfathomable numbers like "quintillions!"

well first dear tagged you must change the start pet from 500 to 100 000 000

seconde i think peoples start to complaine about it and i can't even start to emagine how it work, i allready make

mistake in my thinkig of that lol.

i know the game getting larger and wider but apt to now ist's fine i think in the next 6months could be the right time

to start it,is with your own players,

and because t's confusing, and peoples start to make mistakes with big pets and start to losing cash because of  

that change, you won't give money back.

so please dear tagged take this in concideration and  make sure that you keep your customers and egnore them

There has to be a better way to handle this. Why do your changes only make the game harder to play. Did any of you actually try to play the game using your new system or was this change made by someone who has never played the game. How many of us will have to quit playing for you to see what a mistake this change was? Please put it back the way it was.........................
