My Tagged profile appears in Google search results when I search for my email

Hey Tagged users,

When I search for my email, that I used to sign up to Tagged with, in speech marks in Google, my Tagged profile appears in the search results.

Does this happen to anyone else?

Hi,

NO, my email not shown in the results of Google search...In your case i guess you posted your email before in the "Status" posts so it can be found by Google.

Re: My Tagged profile appears in Google search results when I search for my email

I think I may have done at some point before - months ago.

However, if I click "View all updates" under "What's New" on my profile, it only shows my previous 3 updates since 12 days ago, none of which contain my email.

Surely Google would have re-crawled my page by now???

Re: My Tagged profile appears in Google search results when I search for my email

"View all Updates" shows the latest update done within the last 30 days only

Because you set your profile to be public (not private), that means all your status posts can be seen by everyone including Google search engine...Google database keep the Cache for years ago...posting your email for public in the "status" is also not recommended by tagged and it is mentioned in the terms of service

Thanks

Re: My Tagged profile appears in Google search results when I search for my email

My current Profile Privacy setting is "My country and friends", so only people who have a Tagged account should be able to view my profile.

I checked the date of the Google cache and it is 16th Jan 2012. I can guarentee that my email was not present on my profile on that date.

I also looked at the HTML code of the cached version - my email address doesn't even appear there!

What's going on?!
